Expositions and presentations of the constituents of the Russian Federation reflect the ideas of transformation of urban communities, the potential Russian cities have, and their relationships with neighboring territories.

Expositions and presentations combine the ideas of cultural heritage, economic, innovative and technological development of regions - anything that can help solve most significant issues facing a country with such a vast area as Russia - and will offer a vision of how the use of new technologies and implementation of innovative projects will trigger quality changes in the urban space and people's lives in the future.

About 20 constituent units of the Russian Federation will present their expositions and presentations within the Russian pavilion. They include the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of Dagestan, Altai, Krasnoyarsk, Perm and Primorsky Territories, Amur, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Rostov, Tomsk, Tula and Ulyanovsk Regions, cities of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, Yamal and Nenets Autonomous District.

The regional exposition in the Russian pavilion is opened by Yamal and Nenets Autonomous District. The exposition will be open for two weeks under the motto of "Civilization's Achievements in Harmony with Nature". The highlight of the exposition is an installation that reflects endless expanses of the Far North. The pavilion's visitors will see a unique natural phenomenon, polar lights, and witness how rapidly this area is developing coupled with primeval nature.

The official delegation is headed by Dmitry Nikolayevich Kobylkin, the Governor of Yamal and Nenets Autonomous District.

Then, following the exposition of Yamal and Nenets Autonomous District, the exposition of the Orenburg Region will speak of its hospitality. The exposition will be opened by Alexey Andreyevich Chernyshev, the Governor of Orenburg Region.
Expositions and presentations of the constituents of the Russian Federation will help EXPO 2010 visitors create a holistic view of Russia and highlight a unique nature of each individual region to ensure it is recognizable for the international community.

Heads of the Russian constituents place a lot of emphasis on their involvement in EXPO 2010, one of the largest and most prestigious EXPO exhibitions in history. So, the Governors are planning to head official delegations of members of regional expositions and presentations in person.
